Stair detection is one of the important basic functionalities to ensure the safe mobility of house mobile devices such as cleaning robots. The positioning of the hardware telemeter and the software algorithm controlling the mobility and reaction of the vacuum cleaner are key to avoid the robot falling down stairs or other kinds of traps.
